I recently stumbled on a stunning article that really made me think. There are many great points and so I wanted to share with you because it is along the lines of basic ethics and thus pet ownership being part of that. I am sure we’re a long way away from people existing without pets but perhaps no zoos/aquariums could be the first start (I am not a fan of those).
Here is an excerpt:
“We love our dogs, but recognize that, if the world were more just and fair, there would be no pets at all, no fields full of sheep, and no barns full of pigs, cows and egg-laying hens. There would be no aquaria and no zoos.”
